Himanshi Sharma, M.Ed.

Born and raised in India, I am a passionate enthusiast dedicated to creating impactful solutions at the intersection of education, technology, and human behavior. With a diverse educational background, a commitment to social responsibility, and a focus on networking and building connections, I'm eager to bring ideas to life and drive positive change in the world. 

As the Innovation Lead at NEXT GENERATION, INC, I thrive at the intersection of psychology, neuroscience, and education. It is at that intersection that I design innovative solutions that drive positive change. I am also the founder of Edansh, an EdTech platform which directly connects high school and college students with career mentors. I earned my Masters in Education from John Hopkins University, and my BSc from Florida International University in Miami.

Michele Joseph, MBA

I am the president of NEXT GENERATION, INC. and CEO of the SGAP Leaders. Over the years, I have honed exceptional coaching and relationship development skills in the for-profit/non-profit and public sectors, and I thrive in an environment that utilizes my superpower: galvanize a team around a shared vision and goal to achieve extraordinary outcomes. As a visionary, I cultivate fruitful relationships to grow a mission-focused organization.

I am the first generation Trinidadian-American and attained my MBA in strategy and marketing from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University, and my BSc in Biology/Environmental Sciences from Catholic University of America. I was the team lead for Net Impact while attending Georgetown University. I also earned a certificate in Sustainable Practices for the Workplace and taught STEM and people skills to high school students, re-entry candidates and adults transitioning to the workforce. I serve as an Advisory Board member for the Wheaton Sustainable Innovation Zone, member of the Greater Washington Region of Clean Cities Coalition, the Black Owners of Solar Services, Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE Energy), and as a Board member with  Nonprofit Montgomery.

Laurence Peters, JD, Ph.D.

Born in London, England, I am a leading curriculum expert and have developed courses for Johns Hopkins University, as well as Temple University. I have made dynamic contributions to the formation of United States education workforce development policy, having served in senior positions for the US Congress and the US Department of Education.  I teach at Johns Hopkins University where I specialize in global education. 

I have consulted with organizations across a broad spectrum of topics, and authored a variety of books on the transformational potential of education technology, the value of global education and the historical significance of the United Nations. As the Vice President of NEXT GENERATION, INC., I am involved with strategic partnership development with universities, workforce development organizations, and clean energy corporations.

I received my doctorate degree from University of Michigan, and law degree from the University of Maryland. I reside in Rockville, Maryland with my family and identify as gender fluid.
